The group’s mesmerizing alchemy comes alive in a blend of glorious three-part harmony and carefully crafted musical arrangements. The group utilizes a most unusual sonic palette, including percussion from all corners of the globe, an array of squeezeboxes, and a collection of melodic acoustic guitars and banjo, throwing in the occasional bell and whistle for an added element of surprise.

Guitarist Kirsten Thien, whose modern blues sound draws from the depths of old-school American soul and the driving force of roots rock-n-roll. Rachelle Garniez is a multi-instrumentalist and musical colorist; channelling emotions ranging from the delicate to the crude, touching on pathos, irony and rage, maintaining a sense of mischief throughout the show.

The three are intrepid treasure-seekers, plumbing the depths of the Waits catalog, exploring the shipwrecked universe of his story-songs, from the savage to the sentimental.

The past three years of performing on stages across Europe and the US and struggling through the constraints of the pandemic era have given them an added appreciation for the unadulterated beauty and power of their sound and an instantly touching quality to their music that is reflected in the warmth and intimacy of the recording.After a very successful tour in January 25 in Germany, Finland, Austria, the band headed to India for the first time and returned with many new impressions.
